Cleveland R. Burke

Cleve Burke focuses his practice on bankruptcy and commercial litigation.  He represents creditors, creditors’ committees, trustees, debtors, and other interested parties in bankruptcy proceedings and adversary proceedings.  He also represents both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of civil lawsuits, most commonly in disputes related to contracts, real estate, business torts, and debt collection.  His experience includes all stages of trial and appellate litigation in both federal and state courts.

Before joining Waller, Cleve was an associate with Taube Summers Harrison Taylor Meinzer Brown, LLP, a preeminent bankruptcy and civil litigation boutique firm in Austin, Tex.

Up Close

When he’s not at work, Cleve enjoys spending time with his wife and two young daughters.  He is an avid hunter and fisherman, and he also loves to hike, camp, canoe, and kayak. Before attending law school, Cleve worked in Montana as a fly-fishing guide and a wrangler at an elk-hunting camp.  He also lived in Mexico and Honduras, and he has traveled extensively throughout Latin America.
