Dustin S. Timblin

Dustin Timblin assists clients in healthcare and other industries with commercial finance and securities transactions as well as bankruptcy matters.  Representing both borrowers and lenders, Dustin has handled a variety of matters including:

  • Senior credit facilities, including asset based lending, healthcare receivables lending, and real estate based lending
  • Mezzanine facilities
  • Second lien facilities
  • Private equity lending

Dustin is also a member of the bankruptcy team representing the trustee for Detroit's water and sewer bonds (totally almost $6 billion) in the historic Chapter 9 proceeding.


  • Represented publicly-traded behavioral healthcare provider in its $400,000,000 senior credit facility, consisting of a $300,000,000 term loan and a $100,000,000 revolver, as well as in its 144A offering of high yield notes in the amount of $150,000,000
  • Represented private equity firm acquiring a large home healthcare provider in connection with its acquisition financing consisting of a $54,000,000 senior secured credit facility and $24,000,000 senior subordinated notes
  • Represented private equity sponsored rural hospital company in connection with senior secured credit facility involving a $461,000,000 first lien and $85,000,000 second lien
  • Represented indenture trustee in Jefferson County, Alabama bankruptcy filing, the largest municipal bankruptcy filing in United States history

Travel is high on the list of activities Dustin enjoys in his "down time." Dustin lived in Mexico while completing a study abroad program, and recently visited Finland, and Sweden. He reads fiction, plays racquetball and basketball competitively each week, and enjoys playing the banjo while jamming with friends.
