G. Michael "Mike" Yopp

Leadership and Recognitions

Mike was one of only three attorneys in Tennessee to receive to receive a top ranking (Band 1) in the 2018 edition of the Chambers High Net Worth Guide. Mike is a member of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, and he was recently elected as a Fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel and a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, which is limited to one percent of the lawyers in America. Mike serves on the Family Office Exchange's Thought Leaders Council. Mike is a former chairman of the American Bar Association's Professional Services Committee. Additionally, he is a trustee and past president of the Tennessee Federal Tax Institute, Inc. and the former chairman of the Tennessee Bar Association's Tax, Probate and Trust Section.

Since 1995, Best Lawyers in America has recognized Mike in the categories of Litigation & Controversy-Tax and Tax Law, and in 2013 Best Lawyers named him Nashville's Lawyer of the Year Litigation & Controversy-Tax. In 2015, Mike was honored with the Nashville Business Journal's Veterans Award, and he is also recognized as a "Mid-South Super Lawyer."
