Up Close

An international traveler, Julian has stood on the equator, the prime meridian, and the 38th parallel, looking out across the DMZ into North Korea. He’s swum with penguins in the Galapagos Islands, sited Haley’s Comet from Mt. Haleakala, and summited the Northern Ice Field atop Mt. Kilimanjaro to document the imminent recession of the mountain’s famous snows.

These days, Julian’s adventures take place closer to home. Married, with four children, Julian and Debra love to take Julian V, Eliza Vaughan, Dovie, and Lane out onto area hiking trails whenever they can. Julian has also been involved with a number of local nonprofits and civic organizations throughout his career and continues to seek opportunities to serve his community.
