M. Leanna Degenhart

Leanna Degenhart is a transactional attorney with extensive experience assisting in the structuring and closing of complex mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, recapitalizations and divestitures in the healthcare industry.  Healthcare information technology companies, tax-exempt and investor-owned health systems, and physician groups benefit from her insight and acumen in both buy- and sell-side transactions. Additionally, her transactional experience includes extensive corporate and healthcare regulatory due diligence and incorporating healthcare-specific representations and warranties in purchase agreements.

Prior to joining Waller, Leanna gained extensive transactional and healthcare regulatory experience as an associate in the Atlanta office of Morris Manning & Martin. Leanna is licensed in Georgia and is practicing in Tennessee subject to Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 7, Article V, Section 5.01(g) pending admission to practice in Tennessee.

  • Associate counsel representing a leading provider of outsourced anesthesia management and physician recruitment services in its $30 million recapitalization by a private equity fund
