Matt has prepared and prosecuted more than 150 U.S. patent applications in a variety of technical fields, and he has extensive experience in the areas of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems, medical devices, sporting goods, heavy machinery, automotive, manufacturing, microfluidic devices, materials science, and aerospace applications.
A results-oriented attorney, Matt enjoys the diversity of his patent-focused legal practice. In addition to drafting and prosecuting patent applications, Matt also frequently represents venture capital and private equity investors in due diligence for transactions involving patent portfolios. His experience also includes patent licensing matters. Additionally, Matt prepares U.S. and international Freedom to Operate opinions related to new product development and marketing efforts for clients ranging from start-ups to well-established corporations.
