A member of Waller’s alcohol beverage law team, Tayo Atanda advises manufacturers, distributors and retailers of liquor, beer, and wine throughout the state of Tennessee. Tayo played a key role in assisting more than 250 local and national grocery stores when legislation permitting the sale of wine in Tennessee grocery stores took effect in 2016. His experience includes beer, liquor, dance and catering licensing for restaurants, hotels, bars, clubs and resorts throughout Tennessee.
Tayo also assists start-ups and emerging companies in LLC formation, reviewing and drafting and evaluating contracts, non-compete agreements and non-disclosure agreements.
Originally from Nigeria, Tayo moved to the United States at the age of 14 and graduated from Stratford STEM Magnet High School in East Nashville. Away from the office, Tayo is on a continuing quest to find the best craft cocktails and whiskey in Nashville’s burgeoning restaurant and bar scene, particularly those he can enjoy while listening to jazz or the blues. He also likes traveling, reading, hiking and taking photographs of “the street, park and other non-important stuff.”
