Zachary D. Trotter

Zack Trotter assists hospitals, health systems, physicians, skilled nursing facilities and outpatient services on a broad range of regulatory compliance and operational matters.  From playing a role in the development of new healthcare facilities to negotiating provider agreements, Zack helps providers accomplish their goals with energy and creativity. He advises clients on Stark law compliance, federal and state anti-kickback regulations, as well as  HIPAA and state patient privacy laws. He also assists with the regulatory aspects of transactional matters.

Prior to joining Waller, Zack was an associate with a Birmingham law firm where he gained experience in healthcare, labor and employment, and litigation matters including drafting bills that were enacted into law amending Alabama’s Certificate of Need laws. He also assisted in the defense of a white-collar criminal action involving alleged Stark Law violations.

Outside the office, Zack enjoys mountain biking, flying, and rooting for the Auburn Tigers football team. A former White House Intern, Zack is also actively involved in the political scene.
