Lawsuit Settlement to Bring $40 Million for Tennessee Charities

The State of Tennessee will receive $40 million as a result of the settlement of a dispute between two public companies and the court-appointed Receiver for two nonprofits. “With Waller’s assistance, the Tennessee Attorney General has ensured that Tennessee nonprofit corporations are governed and operated in accordance with their charitable purposes,” said Receiver James Skinner, who retained Waller to represent him in the litigation.
